The film Mary Poppins changed my childhood. The actors, the setting, the music, the storyline, well, EVERYTHING in the film is perfect When I was a little kid, my mom always hired nannies to take care of me. I was mean and cruel to all of them, making sure they never come back. Why? I always dreamt of having a nanny like Mary Poppins. I wanted to enter a magical world just like Jane and Michael, the children that Mary Poppins took care of when she was their nanny. My favorite song from the film is "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." Julie Andrews, who played the role of Mary Poppins, is a gem of an actress. What is your favorite Disney film?
Some of mine long time favorites Disney films are princess movies like: Cinderella, Snow White, Sleep Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid and so forth. All those movies are resembled to one another since they all ended with the fabulous prince save the day. I personal liked because I like to watch movies that include a happy ending. Also, we are allow to dream about who are prince will be and how would change people’ lives. The one thing that I’m concern about is parents should tell their children to distinguish between fantasy and reality. I heard a story once a little her asked her mother for a castle because she wanted to be a princess. According to the movies all princess has their own castle. The other Disney movie that bought tears in my eyes were Bambi, I loved that movie because the stories are amazing and also shows how far a mother would go for their children.

There are good non-princess movies like Tangled and Mulan, that I enjoy because these films have a lot of action. Princess films are OK to watch, it just too much drama from the part of the princess, who is a victim of evil, spending her life crying and suffering. I can't stand Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora (Slepping Beauty), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), and Ariel (Little Mermaid) crying and then living happily ever after.
ReplyDeleteBambi is a cute movie, but it's too baby. I like Thumper, the rabbit. The only movie that made me cry was The Fox and the Hound.
My most memorable Disney film was Old Yeller, about a beautiful yellow dog who dies saving his little boy from a rabid animal. It was so utterly wrenching. It was maybe the first dramatic film I was able to watch all the way through without screaming and being taken to the lobby by my mother. The other experience of a similar wrenching nature was reading Of Mice and Men at age 13. I couldn't put it down and read until 1:00 a.m. I wept and wept, and then read the book again all night, and had the same experience at the end.
ReplyDeleteNot a Disney movie, but a movie DISTRIBUTED by Disney: Ponyo. I discovered it a year ago. It's a Japanese movie by the famous director Hayao Miyazake. Check it out:

I do not thank Disney for a lot of things, but I do thank the company for distributing this movie!
Yes, the films by Hayao Miyazaki are among the best! Thanks to Disney, we can explore the beauty of Japanese animation. Totoro is a cute children distributed by Disney. I love Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky and Spirited Away.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Disney movie was Cinderella. As a child I memorized the lines of characters. lol
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Disney movie is Alladin. I like the multiple Figures from pop-culture that Robin Williams plays. I like the fact that Aladdin can make wishes. I like the fact that there's a nice display of magical powers in the movie. I think Jasmine is hot. The soundtrack is impeccable. And I like the fact that early CG was used throughout the film.
